Come A Little Closer, Buddy.

Dear Diary,

Buddy, the button buck, visits most days to graze on the grass and nibble a couple of fallen apples.  He is getting closer and closer to the house.  I know I just recently posted a photo of Buddy but I am so worried about him because the hunting season begins on Saturday.  He is safe on my property as I don't allow hunting but if he steps one hoof off and into surrounding woods...I shudder at the thought.  The hunting of antlerless deer is prohibited in Maine but some don't follow the rules.  At least Sunday hunting is not allowed so Buddy and I have one day of rest.
