We wrapped up warm, took the large umbrellas and headed over to wish him happy birthday, singing happy birthday in a downpour from the garden while he cracked jokes non stop in the doorway. He's missed his sports fixtures so much and a few aches and pains have crept in during lockdown. Was so good to hear he got a table tennis session in the other week, for the first time since March, albeit carefully to not worsen some of these recent aches and pains and socially distanced.
