Lazy anglers!!

I can't say I'm a big fan of swans. They always seem aggressive at the park - ready to attack at a moment's notice; and they make one hell of a mess of your car when they fly into your windscreen at 70mph an hour.

However, felt very sorry for this one today; who has had an encounter with some left fishing tackle in the park.

I used to fish, and at times you can end up losing bits of tackle; but the amount of lazy people who do not tidy up after themselves round the lake is sad.

Our neighbour is part of the local SwanWatch group, and it turns out he was already aware. They are hoping to try and catch it tomorrow, and get the hook out. Fingers crossed.

This make me think of the sad video that was posted on facebook the other day; about the island of Midway and the plastic pollution there. I hope the link works.
