The Bridge at Blunham

This is the River Ivel as it flows past Blunham, parallel with the A1.  I had rushed out after gardening duties (probably murdered a magnolia) to capture the poplars along the river a little upstream from here, but a) they were still green and b) the wind was probably too strong and c) the rain was threatening.  But having walked a little way off the road into Blunham I turned and saw that this view was rather pleasing.

The views continued pleasing further along the river, so I felt that the journey had been worth it.
