Red squirrel ahead
Mrs P and I were delighted, as ever, to see a red squirrel through the trees ahead of us. A reward, perhaps, for the record amount of litter we picked up on our circuit of Kinnoull Hill.
Usually they disappear before I can even raise the camera; this time she (or he) was too busy to notice us at first. Even better, my camera managed to focus through the leaves obstruction the view. A good effort for a Pen-F, which is designed more for compactness than auto-focus performance.
It was a good day for photos, worthy of three extras - my favourite old beech hedge and some mushrooms.
