Inspiration

I’m sorry if I sounded down yesterday. The kingfisher sorted me nicely and I enjoyed playing bridge (not so disastrously), watching the Giro, chatting to family and friends, and appreciating my home and my cat.

We’re the lucky ones. We have gardens, friendship, a love of nature - and we’re retired.

I was stiff again when I woke. The sun came out, so I headed up to Gentleshaw Common. No longer than 20 minutes.

Big skies, stunning heathland colours, sunshine and friendly, socially distanced dog walkers.
