A good long walk today

We went hiking (and Jerry was scouting for an elk) this morning.  The temperature was not so cold but the wind was more than cold.    We just took our time and followed animal trails.   

This collage is mostly what caught my eye.   The golden eagle was a real bonus.  While we were driving to another location, we saw a kestrel catch a mouse but I could not get a shot from my position in the truck.  

Tomorrow may be some snow photos.   And much much colder weather.
