Happy Hens

This morning I opened the door of the polytunnel to the hens, I also move the hen hut inside so that they spend the winter very cosily having access to all this dry ground. They spend the first day eating all that remains of the salad crop and the cabbages. The chicks are the 5 furthest from the camera, they are all living together now.

We managed a woodland walk in the afternoon without getting wet. Dinner of the last of the garden salad picked before the hens got it and now I can watch the Farming for nature awards on zoom.
