Autumn colours
I set off on a bit of an adventure to myself today.
Visited a local weaver and natural dyer who I have met a few times but was interested in her work and her thoughts about the wool Superwash process which I keep coming across. She does not buy Superwash (plastic coated). It seems to be that most of our woollen goods, even if you knit them yourself from 100% wool have been through a superwash process that somehow involves giving them a plastic coating so that they are machine washable. If anyone knows better please correct me.
I loved seeing all the hand dyed wool using local plants such as bog myrtle or nettles. Fab colours. I then went for a walk with my camera nearby as the light looked fab and so is the landscape here. See extra for larger landscape.
The colours are just looking amazing just now, I so like the blondes and browns in contrast to the blue sea and sky with the rain showers over the islands.
