Autumnal colours at Lyde (Day 1995)

Grey and driech again this morning for the trip across to Stromness to do the finishing touches on the shower room refit. I was finished and all cleared up in an hour or so, then it was on to another customer with a loo which needed a new fill valve. There was a "while you are here" outside tap to sort out too, but I was home with time for coffee and some paperwork before I took the woofers out to Lyde in the rain.
After lunch I headed for town to collect a various stuff and things and zoom round Tesco (where despite the 7 Covid 19 cases diagnosed here this week, social distancing seems to have disappeared and too many folks were standing around blethering in the isles).
I have been left unsupervised until tomorrow afternoon while my beautiful wife is on a 24 hour shift.
