Acer

A mostly indoors day, spent on admin and cooking.  The latter took me out to buy ingredients for a new dessert recipe I am trying this evening. I am confident it will be successful, having sampled quite a bit already.

This picture is our favourite tree - a snake's bark acer. It is always late coming into leaf, at the end of April/early May.  And then it is almost the last to lose its foliage: green for most of the year but a deep crimson right now. This view is from our kitchen window..
