Belt & Sword or Pot and Handle?
A not very exciting blip today -but exciting for me, because I think I'm at last cracking the mystery of taking night sky shots with my D2x.
Here's Orion the Hunter. Probably one of the most famous and easy to spot constellations in the sky. Visible at one time or another from every inhabited country on earth. Of course in the Southern Hemisphere we see him upside down. The red star Betelgeuse at the bottom of this blip is actually his shoulder. And the three bright stars that form his belt, and the objects that make up the sword hanging from that belt, I grew up in NZ calling the "pot"
