Late blooms

These flowers are on what I think is an escallonia bush. The main flowering was in spring, but a few clusters have kept opening all through to now. I didn't spot the greenfly until I looked closely on the computer.

In extras, a pair of hedgehogs, taken after a small drama which started with the hog on the right sitting in the food dish, eating.  The one on the left came round, stuck its face under one side of the dish and tipped it right up, making the other one roll out with most of the food on top of it. It still has some of the food stuck in its prickles, but it also has a bigger share of the food than the one on the left.
