Ashley

This morning I realised I had run out of milk and so I had to make my porridge with water. A few minutes after I'd eaten my breakfast, I had a message from dad saying he'd delivered some milk to my doorstep. Terrible timing.

It's very definitely feeling like it's nearly half term. Everyone in school is tired and a little on edge, not really knowing what might be around the corner. We've had a good day in a couple of schools but for sure feel like staff and students are ready for a rest.

This afternoon we did some filming with Ash in the Abbey which was lots of fun. Ash is from Huddersfield and so Ellie and I find listening to him endlessly amusing. The first time we met Ash, about a year ago, we enlisted him in giving out sweets at a Freshers Fair and then laughed as he tried to give out Jelly 'Beybeys'.

One more day of school and it's going to be a packed one at that. We launch a new project at Mary Webb School tomorrow, the John Muir Award, which will be squished in between an assembly, a mentoring session and three lunch clubs.
