Aye Right Then
A last proper visit today to steal the remaining daffodils. Nobody knows they are there so it didn't feel like stealing, and anyway, they are technicially still mine.
It's been quite some time since I visited the bridges, they are usually too busy, but on such a dull day the town wasn't so bad. I got parked easily and almost got a ticket but the very kind parking attendant let me off.
I bought wool today. I can't knit but I'm looking to learn. I only ever knitted a jumper for my new baby neice, many years ago now, under the watchful eye of my Auntie who could knit anything whilst smoking a fag and watching telly and probably reading a book at the same time too. Weekly I would take my new rows of knitting out to her and she would oh and ah and then request I make a cuppa tea. I never once caught her ripping my knitting out but I know the jumper always looked different after a visit! Sadly she isn't here to teach me.
Yesterday I bought knitting needles from a local charity shop. I would say I bought a pair of knitting needles but after a discussion in the shop I was assured that they were sold individually and not as a pair. The cost was not the issue and I ventured that it would be odd to sell gloves or shoes separately so why sell knitting needles that way. I came away frustrated, but mostly with myself, who the heck am I turning into when I am discussing the merits of how to sell a knitting needle? Maybe I shall take up wing walking or extreme sahara running instead, that seems more suited to the person I think I am!!!!!
