Taking Down the Arbor
Pedro’s guys have been working all day on taking down the arbor. Although it was basically a shade structure it was built like a brick s**thouse. Once it is gone it will be easier to figure out what to put in its place.
Still no word from AT&T about our phone, internet and WiFi. I got a message from them that we are experiencing another red flag fire alert and PG&E may turn the power off. The two entities share the poles which are being replaced. I don’t know why we still have power and not telephone but it looks like they might turn that off too.
If we call AT&T to try and get any information about our service, we wait an hour on hold and then get someone in Oklahoma or Georgia who can’t tell us anything but promises to send a technician who never comes. I’m really curious to see if they dare send us a bill.
I got a call from ‘Merry Maids’ to say that they needed to make an appointment to deep clean our home, just as I was mopping the floors. By the time they come on Monday it will need it again. It looks like Alicia, the adjuster in Las Vegas has sprung into gear!
There was a congregation of trucks, a bulldozer and a bunch of guys in hi vis jackets at the bottom of our driveway cutting burned trees and collecting everything and hauling it away. It included one of our trees which we didn’t even realize had burned.
Never a dull moment here....
