Diary of an Edinburgher

The Archie Report

Robert took Archie out this morning, and it was sunny enough for us to sit out with him for a coffee when they came back. Robert gave us the Archie Report, as usual. It’s always a good report, but this morning it wasn’t.

He had stuck his head in a woman’s bag and ate her bread!

Actually, not as bad as it first seemed. He and Robert had walked past a woman and a toddler. Archie was not on the lead, as it was inside the park. The toddler was throwing a tantrum, so the woman was occupied, her (plastic) bag unattended on the ground. And what did thieving Archie do? He ran back without Robert noticing, as they’d walked on. He stuck his head inside the plastic bag, and helped himself to the bread which was obviously meant for the ducks! The woman wasn’t annoyed, fortunately. And anyway, ducks should not be fed bread, there are even signs at the pond. So well done, Archie.

We had a lazy relaxed afternoon. We finished off ‘The Spy’ on Netflix, which was very good.

The tricycle has been packed back into its box, to await its pickup on Thursday. It’s a wonderful invention, how it folds up SO small. But it was Not For Me.

Perhaps this is...
