Yesterday was Sunday; today is Friday
Friday Street that is, a hamlet near Leith Hill in Surrey. We had a fab walk there today, lots of autumn colours (see extra) and friendly people. A local couple we stopped and talked to gave us a ramblers map of the area which proved invaluable as some of the paths weren’t easy to spot.
Had lunch in The Wooton Hatch which was pleasant although the staff were a bit dippy and the oven baked chick peas were as tough as buckshot from a roasted pheasant’s bum (I speak from experience).
Dropped a couple of chairs back to the deserted office; rather sad really but good to catch up with a handful of essential staff. Then on to IKEA where we showed admirable restraint and did not buy lots of stuff on a whim (for a change). We did however buy a top tog duvet for the winter.
Lovely day and lovely to see my gorgeous wife relaxed and away from her desk...
