Salmon on the Severn

Mid to late October every year, they throw themselves up the weir to get to the spawning grounds, a further 80 miles up stream.
The sun was amazing this morning, but I was driving, and the red orb was covered in cloud by the time I found a place to park.
School was fine, just a small matter of one pupil with a lighter and another with an aerosol setting light to the dry leaves in the yard!!
