One for sorrow

Late to bed last night.......sat up watching tv, had a couple of rather large G&Ts, almost 1pm by the time we turned in lol!

Woke at 6.45......bit of a head going on, so turned over and went back to sleep. Woke up again it was 9.10! Hub didnt wake until after 10!!! We had no plans so no rush to get up....by the time we got downstairs it was almost 11.30 :-)

Brunch was on the agenda, lovely soft scrambled eggs, bacon, mushrooms and granary toast with a cup of tea.

Prepped a marinade for the pork shoulder joint to sit in for a couple of hours, before putting it in a low oven to roast for 4 hours ;-)

We went out for a walk, needed some fresh air, had a bit of a woolly head....called in for a coffee and read the papers for an hour, before walking back.

House smelled lovely when we got back.....
Got out into the garden for an hour, more leaf clearing......caught this magpie so that was my blip sorted! Hope its not a sign of things to come....looked for a second one, but didnt see one :-(

Indoors then, prepped the potatoes and veg. Uncovered the pork turned up the oven to crisp the crackling! It just fell apart, served with roast potatoes, cheesy cauliflower & leeks, carrots & gravy, with apple sauce.....really tasty!!

Just sat and watched The Greatest Showman on tv, such a good film, love the music! Now to watch the last Singapore Grip.

Flu jabs lined up for tomorrow........no doubt there will be more in the news about Tiers :-/
Our Mayor was on Andrew Marr this morning, but we didnt watch and mot seen or heard anything about it, so guessing nothing new came out!

Have a good and safe new week all.
