Autumn at Polesden Lacey
I usually run indoors on the treadmill but this morning Gavin, Xena and I went for a 6km run in the woods - it was lovely and refreshing but quite muddy and slippery in parts.
After breakfast we went into the village to do some grocery shopping. We had a cappuccino at my previously-favourite cafe that closed down during the lockdown and has now reopened under a new name so presumably also under new ownership. The coffee was good but it was a bit soulless in there and a very poor selection of eats!
After lunch we went for a walk at Polesden Lacey, a National Trust property near us - it had to be pre-booked as is now the norm in these social distancing times. My knees were actually really sore after the run this morning (my familiar ITB has flared up again) so we did not do a long walk, only about an hour. We met a family with the most beautiful Standard Schnauzer like Murdoch and had a long chat to them, as you never see Standard Schnauzers much these days. The autumn colours were looking rather good here as can be seen by this image.
I still have so many photos to edit from our trip to the Lake District. I was lucky to get many photos that I was pleased with, as it was not really a photographic trip, not when you have a non-photographer partner and dog with you, but I was lucky with the weather. There are a few photos where I have to clone out the tip of Xena's tail or paw as she ran into my frame!
