Borders

This bridge represents the border between Rwanda and Uganda. When we crossed it with the bus after 2 hours, we thought we were making good time. Another 9 hours later and we finally made it - although can't complain as, when the fog cleared, the views out of the window were consistently fascinating.

Exploration day tomorrow. The difference betwen Kampala and Kigali is like the difference between London and St Andrews. Hopefully this happens with minimal use of boda-bodas (motorbike taxis) - here they don't have helmets, but do have a penchant for driving on the wrong side of the road. We managed to clip 3 wing mirrors of vehicles travelling in the other direction on the way to the hospital. Might be unavoidable though.

I imagine Mum is even more concerned now than she was before!
