Dangerous

These are the processionary caterpillars, just before I set fire to them. They are extremely dangerous to animals and can cause a nasty rash on us humans. the local councils are going round spraying all the pine trees in an attempt to kill the little buggers before they have chance to drop to the ground and wander off.

If we see them in a line like this, we tend to spray them with hairspray, get some dried grasses, scoop the caterpillars into the grass and set fire to it.

Tomorrow I have 4 nests to destroy, I will get Dennis (of Dennis and Glenys) to help me.
