Blackpool
I think all this talk about Blackpool today was linked to a longing for egg and chips for tea, and tomato sauce of course. It looks a bit mean, if it was café portion I’m sure it would include at least 2 eggs and many more chips. I quite like the ketchups squirty effect which was unintended.
I have been to Blackpool twice. Once in late 1970s with a friend who went to school just outside the town, and with R on 30th December 1984. I remember this because it the day after the wedding of friends who had met at our wedding in December 1983, it was drench in the extreme , the tide so far out you couldn’t even see the sea, and everything closed ( it was also a Sunday I think), somewhere I have a photograph of a lone café called the Oystercatcher where we finally managed to find a cup of coffee.
Had a go at on line yoga this morning and like the advert says the positive thing is that you don’t have do it. Abandoned it after I got fed up with too many sun salutations and joined a YouTube Gaelic singing class led by Joy Dunlop instead.
It would have been the National Mod this week, in Inverness. There is a virtual version where participants have recorded performances in their homes, BBC Alba is providing coverage interspersed with highlights from previous years.
Ugh agus sgiathan goes down well in Scotland too, we definitely have the best potatoes.
