Murdering Creek

Just outside our village is an area of dirt roads and fire fighting tracks that is ideal for bike riding.

It is crossed by ‘Murdering Creek’ a small stream where a group of Aboriginals were massacred by white settlers back in the day. Hence the name.

‘Back in the day’ is often not too long ago due to Australia’s relatively short colonial history. The massacre was about 1850.
