Another campfire

This is from a couple of nights back. A canine retro blip!

We stopped at a little caravan park in Carnarvon WA. Being a Friday they do pizzas in their outdoor pizza oven. $2 to cook your pizza, (make your own or Bases for sale $5). The Sparrow makes her own.

There were a couple of traveling musos at the park that night and they played a few old jazz / pop crossovers. The Silverback really liked it. They had a dog who looked just like Red Dog (one of my favourite movies). Turned out they lived near us in Queensland.

I had a pretty full on job playing with a family of four kids from Switzerland (it’s a foreign country apparently - I couldn’t understand a word they said so we just played non verbal games).

Later in the night I stood around the campfire with the adults. They all seemed to be staring at the hot ashes. So I did the same. Nothing particular happened. It was just one of those group bonding type exercises.

A couple of people slipped me slices of pizza during the night. I’d already had dinner but felt it would be rude to refuse! I didn’t tell the folks. Didn’t want to interrupt their conversation with the musos.
