maple (eye)candy

The red leaves of the occasional decorative maple out here in Colorado is a delight to see in the midst of the sea of yellow fall colors. And as I was thinking of them as eye candy, it reminded me of the real maple sugar candy I enjoyed as a kid spending summers in New England. The little town in New Hampshire where we stayed even had its own maple syrup production, so I know what a real "sugar shack" is.
