Bloom when you want

I have been watching the buds on the supposed Thanksgiving cactus that usually decides to bloom early instead of at Thanksgiving in November.   Again this year the buds are opening and probably with bloom for the next week or so.   

This week will be a week of getting packed and finishing the things on the list of to do!  We will be away from home for just at a month so things need to be taken care of, mostly at the last minute.   I have my list!    Clothes are packed except for a few things...it is so warm here (83F today) that I definitely don't need any cold weather clothes.

We had the last of the hurricane rain this morning and it was a really heavy downpour.   Now the sun is shining and the humidity is up there in uncomfortable.      Warm weather all this week as summer steps into the south again.
