Still Keeping Busy

Today's outing took me to one of my favourite local places, The Vyne, an old Tudor palace near Basingstoke owned by the National Trust.  This is only the first time I have managed to visit this year, adn as you can imagine, things were a little different, including having to walk all the way round the lake to reach the coffee shop!

The Vyne doesn't have much in formal gardens, but there are some herbacious borders next to the house which even this late in the season are still colourful and attracting the bees. I'm not too sure what this plant is, but the bees were particularly busy around it.
