Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

A not very exciting day

After yesterday’s excitement, a restful day was needed. After a slow start to the day, Archie went out with Elizabeth for their usual long walk. I hung the washing out, despite the unpromising skies, and we walked across the Meadows to town.

Of course, we passed my favourite cafe, and it was very busy, but there was a seat outside. We shared a delicious wrap and had a coffee.

JR was going into town to get a new hat. No, not a hat - a furry head band thingie. She lost it in the V&A yesterday. In fact, I ‘lost’ my hat too, but it was handed in at the desk, thank goodness!!

I came back home, and just made it time to get the washing in before the drizzle set in. I watched the women’s tennis final, which was too one sided to be riveting.

Not such an exciting day.

But Archie would say it was...
