Eat, Drink and Be Merry

And don't even think about the rest of the phrase ...

It was another day blessed with sunshine and beautiful warm light. We've had a few days off this week, visitors on Wednesday, singing and family WhatsApp calls yesterday, so this morning the work-ethic prevailed. TM washed the windows  and I brushed several years' worth of spider activity out of the potting shed, and did a major tidy-up in there.

But it is Friday ... so after lunch we headed over to Kelso, on the next instalment of our mission to support all those businesses we want to support. First port of call, Cafe U for coffee and a cheese scone ( they put fennell? seeds in them, and warm them up , delicious) and a browse of the magazines. Outside I spied their vehicle (first extra - I need one of these, since I can no longer balance a bike).

Next port of call, the garden centre for ericaceous compost and a few more bulbs, etc, for winter colour. Keeping up the spirits will be a major project this autumn, I think.

Then a gentle stroll by the Tweed. Rather liked the look of that house in the extra till TM pointed out that it probably doesn't get any sunshine ....

Now we are home and honouring the spirit of Fizzy Friday.  Have a great weekend, I plan to stay close to home and hopefully catch up with some journals. :-)))
