Woodland walk in the Moss Valley
At the beginning of 2020, an old friend invited me to join a small women's group that meets once a month for a day's walk. I managed one outing with them before lockdown and then missed the ones in Aug and Sept.
So it was a pleasure to get out with them all today, for a great circular walk through mixed woodland and fields, passing 17th and 18th century farms along the way.
Early in the walk, we passed the wonderfully-named 'Seldom Seen' Engine House (see 2 extras), formerly part of Plumbley Colliery. At this point I wished I had brought the Nikon and not just the phone. But this will be a good reason for a return visit. There's some information about the engine house here: https://medium.com/@lizziemaher/the-tragic-deaths-at-seldom-seen-engine-house-in-sheffield-d6c91f28791c
