Community Gardens

Another bright blue day, but cooler. Met friend Laura at a picnic table in the Demonstration Garden adjacent to the community plots at Ida Lee. Had a good catch-up and writing session, but the breeze was nippy and I took myself off to happy hour at Starbucks to warm up and keep working.

A reminder today, also, of why they say not to mix family and politics. Of course, “they” are not always right, but perhaps speak from experience.

At the (very late) moment I’m racing to finish a book club book. We’re having a small outdoor meeting tomorrow, or rather later this morning, and I want to know the ending!
