Leanachan

A "normaller" day.

Joined M for a quick circuit with Bruce and Caley at Leanachan. We got soaked for two thirds of the time and then it had the nerve to dry up as we neared the end. Strange, despite his eagerness to shoot off in to the jungle when he gets a whiff of poacher dumped deer remains Bruce, when on course with the walk likes to keep all his people together. At the time of this shot I had hoped that M, Bruce and Caley would all appear in the image. I stopped and prepared the camera anticipating M and Bruce (on the lead by this point to prevent errant stravaging) would walk in to the frame but Bruce stopped dead in his tracks -also anchoring M to the spot- and refused to shift until I started walking again, so just Caley appears. There was a lot of steam rising. Here you could only see this with the sun beyond the mist thus dictating a shot in to the sun again. I think you can just see the steam on the right hand bank but it certainly didn't feel balmy by any means.

Got my car back from the garage. It can be very windy here at the Knoll, a heavy item of garden furniture took off in a gale during the last big storm and marked the tail gate. In the morning after the storm L our oldest boy (bedroom window overlooks car) said he heard something moving in the wind and then heard something getting broken. Anyway JF made an excellent job of it.
