A Smoke Signal
A farewell to our hosts in Ballater, the purchase of Balmoral bread as eaten by the HRH's, and a gentle tootle down the road home, with a stop for lunch with cousins in Forfar.
Their house is a treasure trove of pictures and electic possessions which never fails to stimulate our artistic side.
The sun shone all the way home and the snow disappeared after Banchory except for patches on distant high ground.
This little fisherman's bothy with the fire lit was situated on the banks of the river Dee between Kincardine O'Neil and Banchory.
