Le Carnage
Although the weather in Fontaineblea was hit and miss to say the least, we did have about 5 hours on Sunday where the conditions were just incredible.
'Incredible' for bouldering means cold and dry - the harder and more interesting the climbing gets, the smaller and rubbisher the hand holds become. When it's cold and dry, skin sweats less and friction between hand and rock is much, much better and marginal movements between hand holds become less marginal.
Today was exceptional - I climbed a problem at Bas Cuvier called Le Carnage which is graded Font 7b+. This problem is kinda like a rite of passage for what some might call the aspirant 'mid grade' boulderer so it was great to get it done. Today's blip is me on Le Carnage - image taken by my good pal Andy Hebson a.k.a 'The Hebsonic Boom'.
