final attempt

This was my final attempt to capture a sunrise before we left Suffolk. It was a bit of a feeble strip of red under a heavy bank of cloud but it was all that was on offer before going back and having breakfast and pack up the car ready for the off.
We didn't go straight home however because I had  surprise call from a friend in our village who had seen some of my holiday pics on instagram and sent me a message. Dave is a very good wildlife photographer and but our paths hadn't crossed for some time.  They had retired a couple of months ago, completed the previous day on their home in Derbyshire and moved permanently to a place just a couple of miles away. We met up for coffee and a lengthy chat. We now have an invitation to return as their guests at any time, how very nice.
