Family Outing

Actually, we have a family outing lined up for tomorrow but the weather today was too nice for staying indoors so the three of us set out in search of blackberries.   A happy hour or so in the sunshine was a treat and there are enough blackberries for a jar or two of jam and a crumble.

Ruth and I had a video call with the stand-in social worker who has really got the bit between her teeth.  In just a few days she seems to have sorted a couple of things that her predecessor had not resolved in months .... and we have heard from her more often in the last 24 hours than from the other in six months!   Her approach has won Ruth over although after a series of false dawns Ruth never lets her hopes get too great.  We'll have to wait and see.

This evening Jamie, who'd never touched curry before his stay with A, cooked up a delicious Korma from an authentic recipe - no jar of sauce, just the proper ingredients.   Yummy :-)
