Breakfast of champs

This morning’s Campfire Cooking session was a triumph. What’s not to love about homemade garlic flatbreads cooked over a fire alongside Mac’n’Cheese for breakfast? The lads are ‘lively’: talkative, funny but often take things too far. I can see how they would be an absolute nightmare in a class of 30, and they definitely have a few rough edges, but we think they’re brilliant.

At lunchtime we finally got to meet some college students after a long wait. So brilliant to hang out with them and pray with them. What a joy.

The afternoon was spent under the arches of the URC church absolutely wetting ourselves trying to film a Bible story for some Prestfelde assemblies. There was a bright pink wig, a cotton ball beard and a tin foil sword. It’s either going to be the best thing we’ve ever created or something that’s best forgotten. Probably the latter.
