Frozen extremities
I think I nearly lost my nose and my ears on this morning’s cycle to work. It was worth the loss to catch the early morning mist on the river though. My job this morning was to check the building for the smell of gas, as there has been an issue of late. It was just a shame that my nose was too frozen to be up to the task.
It’s been a lovely day in the office: devotions are deeply inspiring and challenging at the moment and make me excited about Monday mornings. I had to lead a zoom seminar about praying for teachers at lunchtime which was a joy and a privilege. I know it doesn’t sound like work but this afternoon Ellie and I had to pretend to be teenagers so that Becci could do a trial run of session one of the John Muir award. Jolly good fun that included dancing like animals.
This evening’s trustees meeting was conducted via zoom which I could not be more delighted about mostly for the 5 mins it took to get to bed when the meeting ended. I have a strong dislike for leaving the house in the dark, it just feels wrong.
