The Gardens of Erddig Castle

Second day of our holiday to Chester and surrounds; and we took short drive to Erddig near Wrexham, a National Trust property.

It was a lovely day for a walk around the gardens, and to explore some of the Estate woodlands.  There was enough space for everyone (see extra photo).

One again the skeleton staff had been working hard to keep the gardens alive.  We really liked these flowers, catching the late September sun.  The two colours of the petals were very striking.  I believe that it is a Dahlia Pinnata.
