It has been a busy day getting organised for a small excursion with our grandchildren during their school holidays.

Because no photos were taken today I am using this one for my blip. It was taken from the window of our very modern train carriage as we travelled north on the Kapiti Line yesterday.

The overnight storm was still in evidence and these waters provided a great display of sea foam and large waves.

The road seen snaking around the coast and dotted with tiny vehicles is State Highway 1.
