Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

2020 Saturday — Back Bay Fun

We took the pups in the car to Bluffs Park overlooking the back bay in the community of Morro Bay; this park is just slightly south of Tidelands Park. This park is somewhat hidden from the main road by a rather large condominium complex. So we often find it empty of people even on the weekend.

It’s quite nice with benches for sitting and watching the bay and picnic tables and barbecues for outdoor cooking and dining.

There is also a large wooden stair with several landings on the way down to the water. The shore is covered with kayaks, canoes, row boats, and little motorboats to propel sailors to their sailboats that are moored off the shore.

This afternoon we parked the car, got the pups out, with Chloe barking continually (that’s her way of saying she wants out), walked across the lawn and spotted this scene. Wow!

I can’t even begin to imagine being a plein air painter. I couldn’t even draw stick figures at the whiteboard when I was in the classroom. So I nonchalantly captured a few photos; all the while Mr.Fun was prompting me to get a photo that included the painting that was being created. The introvert that lives inside me thought, “Nah.”

This was a beautiful Saturday afternoon and we stopped at the grocery store on the way back to the house so we could barbecue in this warm summer-like weather.
