Photo courtesy of R. They headed to Grimsby today, not sure why, probably because they haven’t been there before. Interesting fishing museum and micro brewery, also a walk along the beach somewhere.

We were at home all day, as usual, and were delighted when they called in by to say hello on the way home. 

This telephone box reminds me of my childhood in Carlisle. On a Sunday evening, about once a month, my parents would take me down the road to make a call to my aunt in Elgin. She had a phone in her house!!! Such excitement:0) 

I must have been small as I would be sat on the ledge on the right of the picture so that I could reach to say hello. It was quite a distance away from our house and I would walk down to the phone, but be carried back up the hill by my Dad.
