Vote

This photo is partly for the ridiculously long candles gracing the end of the cottage table (they’d be better in short candlesticks) but I also I see I caught Vikram’s postal vote for the US election in the photo.  He’s gearing up to cast his vote but gets anxious every time he looks at it knowing that the postal vote is going to be at the centre of any challenge to the outcome.  

Caught up with quite a bit of reading, writing and viewing today as we now try and do a no zoom Friday.  But in fact much of the day was spent with wrangling the last issue before exchanging on the new house, hopefully next week.  It’s all about drainage about which I know ten times more than I did last week. But it could scupper us... we negotiated, alongside the v helpful surveyor what the lawyer feels compelled to write to the  mortgage company. 

Cold this evening and windy but enjoyed end of the day walk up the hill and caught Charlotte and John enjoying the sunset too.
