Beyond the gate (One Street)
I was able to put on my shoes and take a very short walk today. Outside the house I stopped to enjoy the wonderful perfume from the viburnum. This bush was not pruned last year and is flowering in profusion.
I have given our house a slightly nostalgic look with the use of sepia. The house was built in 1980 but is often thought to be older because it is faced with stone from the servants' wing of the local rectory. An example of creative recycling when one wing of the rectory was demolished.
P came to visit and we had a lovely chat.
Another festival walk is fully booked so I had to update the website again. (If you fancy walking in some of the most wonderful countryside in the north, don't delay. Full details on Haltwhistle Walking Festival.)
