Garlic
Today two friends are ordering garlic bulbs for a group of us. One lot will come from Nairn and one from the Isle of Wight. It will be interesting to see which strain flourishes better here. Meanwhile a crop was harvested today from where it had been growing in the front garden. I'm sure these bulbs would have come from supermarket cloves languishing at the bottom of the vegetable pile. It'll keep us going for a while.
Another beautiful autumn day with bright sunshine and a bit of a breeze. Our younger son brought the girls over to play in the garden. That's allowed under the regulations - two households, fewer than six adults and all outside. At least I think it's allowed. I don't know how long we can keep doing this though. Even with the sun it felt quite chilly outside. See extra for evidence of some garden fun.
I've brought the houseplants back in. They spend time outside in the summer but we have low temperatures and maybe even frost forecast tonight. I'm loving the bright autumn weather but there's no doubt we're heading for the chillier time of year.
