Cyclamen intaminatum
The smallest flowered cyclamen species but still a beauty. The almost transluscent petals are delicately veined darker and there are forms which are flushed a very pale pink. Flowers are little more than 1cm across. It's hardy in the UK but delicate due to it's size. I know of a few gardeners who have it naturalised in favourable sites including one in Kent where it's profuse in the dappled shade ...... under a wooden slatted bench!
Another quiet day with Ruth. A bit blowy outside and showery this afternoon, so I have been cleaning, sorting and tidying indoors. I don't seem to have achieved that much but Rome wasn't built in a day as they say. Oh - and the afternoon was illed with a series of phone calls finding out about places which might be suitable for Ruth to move to ..... if funding can be secured. We spoke to one person whose understanding of Ruth's difficulties was exceptional. Nice to meet someone who really 'get's it'. No vacancy there right now .... but there's a possibility of someone else moving on. Hope.
