Duirinish

It was windy and quite cool, with the cloud down below 400 metres, so we decided to go and bag a couple of Marilyns. The first was Biod an Athair, at the top of Duirinish, which has an even slope to the east and then from the highest point at 314 metres drops almost vertically to the sea; all very scenic. We then went to the car park at Neist Point for the view and then went over to Vaternish and up our second Marilyn, Ben Geary. It was boggy underfoot, and still windy and cool, but had great views south west back over Duirinish. The blip was taken near the top looking to Duirinish. The extra is a collage of the same cottage as yesterday’s extra; Waterstein Head; a sheep with the Neist Point lighthouse; and the Storr in the evening as the cloud began to disperse from just north of Portree.
