THE FRET JOB
For once this operation went silky smoothly. The old frets popped out nice as pie.
Then CC leveled the switchback fingerboard on the band-sander & all the MOP (Mother Of Pearl) dots flew out.
I replaced them with abalone as you can see. When all had been sanded & polished I seated the new frets with ease. After much more filing, sanding & polishing I gave the old thirsty fingerboard a drink of lemon oil, (pressed from the pips).
This is what you see. Result!
